Rock The Block

The DeSoto ISD will kick off the summer engagement series titled, “Rock the Block,” in conjunction with the City of DeSoto at the city’s Fourth of July event to be held at Grimes Park from 6-10p on Monday, July 4th
The District will have several tents on-site at the KidZone where children can participate in arts and STEM activities and families can obtain information about the district including early childhood and K-12 enrollment and receive onsite enrollment access and assistance.

DeSoto Down Payment Assistance Program

The DeSoto Down Payment Assistance Program (DPAP) provides down payment and closing cost assistance to low-income, first-time homebuyers. The purpose of the program is to increase homeownership opportunities for first-time homebuyers purchasing a home in DeSoto. Down payment and closing cost assistance are provided in the form of a forgivable loan of up to $10,000. The amount of assistance will be dependent on sales price and loan amount from the lender.

4th of July Celebration

Come out and celebrate the 4th of July with your friends, family and community! Experience a fun-filled night for the whole family that will feature live music, children's activities, games for all ages, food from a variety of vendors that will be sure to satisfy any taste buds, and of course, Fireworks! This year's fireworks show will be extra special and is something you definitely want to be in attendance to witness.

DeSoto ISD Child Find

DeSoto ISD is committed to ensuring that students, without exception, learn and grow at their highest levels. DeSoto ISD is excited to offer Child Find services for students in its system. The purpose of Child Find is to locate, identify, and evaluate children from birth to 21 years of age and their possible need for special education and related services. Child Find is a free referral and information service available through local education agencies.
